THE ANCIENT ART OF THE ZAHORIES
by Dominique Susani & Ferran Blasco

History and Modern Research

The "Art of the Zahories", also known as Druid Geomancy, is an energetic art that harmonizes the energies of Earth and Sky, facilitating spiritual development and regeneration of the human being. It is based on the idea that each space, either for living, working or sacred purposes, has a particular energetic constitution based on the interaction of the following aspects:

Telluric influences: the earth is living organism that, as the human body, has vessels. These vessels, mainly underground waters and geological faults, carry the electromagnetism that its produced in the center of the Earth by the friction between the inner core and the magma. That manifests as a resonance that reaches the surface of the Earth and beyond affecting either positively or negatively those who live right above them.

Cosmic influences
: as the energies that come from the cosmos lay down on the Earth these create different types of geomagnetic networks and its resonances (Peyre, curry, Hartmann nets… etc) that also affect and direct the energetic currents on the surface.

Proportions
: The proportions and relations of distribution of architectural features (walls, entrances, doors, etc.) as well as for functional aspects of the house of a place are the key factor for a harmonious flow of energy in a place. They relate not only to the relations between sizes and dimension but also to the latitude/longitude were the site is built, which is at the same time related with the different astronomical landmarks of the place itself.

Waveforms and vibrational frequencies of objects: each object has a shape and a vibrational frequency, in relation to material, proportions, intention with what it was made, etc… The result of this is that each object projects a set of information that is carried thru the space with more or less intensity depending on not only the object itself but, more importantly, on where is located within the space in relation to the cosmic and telluric influences.

In ancient times, this way of relating to reality was a universal fact. All ancient cultures used a similar system to find and develop houses, cities and sacred places. Originally, Zahori Art was mainly used to find water, the source for life, which made it extremely important for the survival of our ancestors. They developed it to very sophisticated and refined levels using just a simple olive tree branch, accomplishing often more accurate results than today’s sophisticated technology. This art kept evolving, reaching its golden age with the Druids of the Megalithic culture. Those Druids perceived and utilized a very complex system of energy patterns that permitted them to heal others, including the Earth, by practicing the Art of the Stones, Menhirs and Dolmens. Recent research about the memory of water, permits us to understand that those Druids knew, among other things, the principles of how to affect the energetic structure of the water. They accomplished this with Tolven stones using the effect of Cavitary Resonance, an idea, later used to develop the homeopathy principle.

Besides its pragmatic aspects, Zahori Art was a sacred art because it allowed our ancestors to access deeper levels of awareness where spirit and matter entered into communion. The ancient Druids, and their successors the “Maîtres d’œuvres”, who built the churches and cathedrals of the Middle Ages, had a perception of the world and the universe based on intuition, sensation, experience and direct knowledge. It was a comparative, geometric and analogical type of knowledge that required to enter into direct communion and harmony with oneself and one's environment. Only then it was possible to access the esoteric level, summarized by later alchemists in the lemma V.I.T.R.I.O.L. (Visita Interiora Terrae, Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem) «explore the inside of the Earth and refining you will find the hidden stone».

Until the beginnings of this century, in many places of Europe, India and China, it was the task of Zahories to find water and to decide where houses should be placed. Today, even though the art has been almost forgotten, people who want to optimize their well being hires a Zahori-Geobiologist, who in many cases could also be an architect and “maitre d’œuvre”, to build or rearrange their houses with full awareness.
For the last 150 years, many scientists, physicists and doctors have been exploring the influences of the environment on humans. Among the most outstanding results are the findings of Dr. Hartmann from the University of Biberach in Germany whose research suggested that approximately 70% of all diseases are geopatic, i.e. due to cosmo telluric imbalances.

Now we are able to prove scientifically what the ancient druids of Europe already knew thousands of years ago: geological faults, underground water veins, covered wells, active geomagnetic networks, etc… deeply affect the health of those who live, work or spent considerably time above them. The effect of those aspects of the subsoil is especially damaging to the endocrine system, which can lead to very dangerous diseases ranging from chronic fatigue syndrome and leukemia to cancer. This applies by extension also to plants and animals.

Methodology for Diagnosis and Harmonization

The methodology of Druid Geomancy is divided in three parts:
The first part, the detection using the body-antenna, is the preliminary stage where the practitioner uses the body as a sensitive receptor to scan the place in order to recognize the different energetic components of the environment and the subsoil. By using the body as an antenna the practitioner can precisely distinguish the vibrational rates, location and depth of those elements - without the need for technology. With that information, he or she diagnoses the origins of disharmonies and imbalances or recognizes the beneficial aspects of the place. In this first stage, tools like the pendulum and the dowsing rods are sometimes used, but the basic tool of the Zahori is his or her body. Other tools are only used at the beginning to help amplify the sensations of the body itself.

Once the place is understood on a basic level, the second part begins with the study of the waveforms of the location. The understanding of the individual influence of every object on the environment and how it participates of those energies around it, allows the practitioner to understand the energetic complexity of a house or place in order to determine which method will be more appropriate to harmonize it. This understanding is based on Natural Geometry, examples of which are combinations like the rose windows of churches, the platonic solids, the yantras and the auricular proportions.

The third part consists of the methods for harmonization. Druid Geomancy uses several techniques for harmonizing, the oldest, and probably best known, is the Art of the Stones. The Art of the Stones was the art practiced by the builders of the megaliths and by the Druids of ancient times. It includes the construction and placement of Menhirs, Dolmens, Cromlechs and labyrinths, as well as the creation of energetic gardens and high vibration meditation places. Other techniques used are harmonization with waveforms and the projection and neutralization of energies with geometric drawings and trisquels. They not only allow to energetically rearrange the environment but also serve to energize food, to restructure the energetic centers of the body, to practice acupuncture without needles, etc…

Among the more sophisticated techniques though are the ones where the practitioner doesn’t use any tools or artifacts but only his or her pure human energy, in conjunction with the energies of the Earth and the Cosmos. This allows him or her to cut the pathogenic networks, to create sacred networks and to establish personal energetic columns.
